An Ending and a New Beginning

THE WELLNESS SALON
Musings on wellness from Donna Simmons
Feldenkrais ® Practitioner

Dear Colleagues, Clients and Friends,

I hope this message finds you well in these challenging times…

As some of you may know, current state protocols with regard to Covid-19 prevent me from conducting sessions in my office at 333 Miller. This has more or less been the case since mid-March (when I returned from my sabbatical). After much back and forth I have decided to let the lease at this location expire. After almost 30 years in my “tree-top oasis” I find it personally challenging to let go and move on, although ironically much of my sabbatical was in fact devoted to meditations on just what “moving on” would look like. There are so many memories and stories…

Fortunately, I have been offered the use of space in a stately Victorian down the street at 201 Miller Avenue. This is a multi-practitioner building, with parking in the back of the building for clients and only 2 steps into the building. There is ample natural light and an even bigger room for us to work in. As much as this will not be “my” office it is a lovely room. I will be sharing it with Kyle Hartman, a talented young acupuncturist.

I will vacate 333 Miller in the next few days and hope to be able to offer in-person appointments at the new address in early October, assuming current state restrictions are modified or lifted. However, when I do start taking appointments for in-person sessions, I will be available only on Wednesdays until further notice. And, of course, the current protocols will apply: face masks, disinfecting all surfaces, single-use towels and table coverings.

You may still reach me through my phone number 415.381.4253 (voice mail and text messages), through my website www.donnasimmons.com, or by email at DSimmons.Stinson@att.net

Thank you for your loving support these past 30 years. I look forward to continuing to be of service and to sharing this new beginning with you in health.

Namaste,

Donna
